Job Description
If you like diving into data, love R, have used statistical and machine learning techniques to find new insights into complex biological problems and are passionate about having a profound impact on the future of medicine, we want to meet you.
As a member of the Data Science team, you will:
- Perform statistical data analysis, machine learning, data mining and optimizations using multiple tools and techniques to get insights from large complex data sets
- Conduct hands-on rigorous quantitative analysis, including collecting and cleaning the data, and exploring it for accuracy
- Deploy statistical modeling and optimization techniques most suited for the biological problem using R
- Make recommendations and modifications on the analysis
- Interpret outputs of statistical models and results in order to translate input from quantitative analyses into specific and actionable implications
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics or related fields
- 2-5 years related experience on analyzing data, visualizing complex datasets, and developing and testing predictive models
- Deep understanding of multivariate statistics, machine learning, and other analytical methods
- Experience in working with large sets of biomedical data and gaining biological insight from statistical analysis
- Human friendly and reproducible coding habits
- Excellent programming skills in R and relevant packages
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with GitHub, Azure
- Knowledge in metabolomics, signal processing, NMR spectroscopy
- Experience with SQL, Ruby, Matlab, Python
