Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and driven data scientist to join our Data Science team to accelerate our efforts to become a more data-centric company. This person will work closely with various domains within product development as well as with other cross-functional teams across the company such as sales, marketing, and platform services to develop metrics, models, and data-related solutions to generate value and improve customer success.

What you’ll be doing every day:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop machine learning solutions and data-driven products
• Perform data pre-processing, data integrity, feature selection and evaluate model performance and identify solutions to improve model accuracy
• Work closely with the deployment team to develop standard productionized code with maximum test coverage and code interpretability
• Work in an agile work environment with internal product manager to understand and react to priorities in timely manner
• Document model characteristics and performance
• Performing code review and provide feedback to other team members
• Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data using Python and SQL
• Communicate findings with diverse range of stakeholders

What you bring to the table:

• At least 4 years of work experience as data scientist
• Degree in a quantitative field: computer science, math, statistics, or STEM related fields
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Experience in at-least one of the areas of search optimization, OCR, NLP, and recommendation systems
• Hands-on experience working with distributed version control systems (ideally GitHub) using command-line interface
• Experience with productionizing POC Machine Learning solutions and familiarity with code lifecycle
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Training ML models and perform error analysis
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex problems to technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Driven, passionate, team player, and creative who can work in a fast-paced agile environment

Ideally, you also have:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or STEM related field
• Experience with deep learning technologies (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Experience with A/B testing
• Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence tools
• Experience in any of the AWS products (Sagemaker, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Experience with NLP, OCR and familiarity with Large Language Models
