Job Description

We are continually evolving and growing the integration of analytics into our strategic plans. We have an open role for Manager, Regional Analytics & Insights. This role will play a critical part in strategic and end-to-end planning of data and analysis to drive measures of success.

You will work cross-functionally to identify risks and opportunities, synthesize reporting and data, design effective delivery mechanisms, and prioritize business intelligence dependencies.

Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will get to:

  • Develop and manage the roadmap of regional analytics in strategic projects, in partnership with leadership to identify gaps and solutions. Requiring strong project management skills.
  • Have real time interaction with the Pet Care Center leadership team, to provide expert insights and stay aligned with changing business focus, trajectory, and initiatives.
  • Work cross functionally with the PCC Leadership team and other business/analytical teams from PCC’s, Finance, OMNI, Marketing and Merchandising to deliver accurate and dependable high-quality analytics.
  • Lead trend performance knowledge of current and historical activities through business models, dashboards, presentations, and reports.
  • Strong communication on key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial, business and customer data to drive successful analytics.
  • Stay aware and engaged with high level strategic business goals.
  • Be a key point of contact and decision maker for business stakeholders in appointed strategic projects.
  • Maintain accountability for on-time delivery of analytical projects, with a superior level of attention to audience.
  • Define complex underlying data schema, staging, and ETL processes with a high regard for current and future business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data warehouse systems and mining of data to effectively build accurate analyses and insights. Lead and collaborate with business intelligence team to efficiently build automated dashboards.
  • Capture business requirements for business models, reports, and dashboards: including the capability to synthesize large quantities of data.
  • Use balanced judgment and cross-functional awareness to prioritize competing requests within the IT support organization.
  • Continually monitor the competitive marketplace for latest developments in business intelligence, enterprise reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • Lead and manage analyst(s) who oversee and provide diagnostic and prescribed analytics for as-is state, forward-looking and the recommendations to bridge the gap. Ensure timely delivery of insights to pet care center leadership teams and business owners.
  • Provide leadership through training, mentoring/coaching, analysis guidance, recruiting and interviewing. Manage and partner with a high-functioning team of analysts.

Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • A 4-year degree in Business, Finance and/or Computer Science with a focus on business
  • An advanced level of interpersonal communications skills is necessary due to the nature and level of interaction with executive leadership and other departments
  • The ability to accurately compile and interpret complex and varied information. Must also be able to organize and prioritize duties to meet external and internal deadlines.
  • Advanced mathematical and statistical skills
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, Microstrategy, and/or other enterprise reporting systems
  • Strong financial and business acumen is required
  • Strong ability to translate analysis into insights and findings
  • Proven track record of leading teams to produce accurate and meaningful analyses, requiring strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, working through uncertainty under various time constraints
