C.H. Robinson is looking for an Engineering Development Manager to manage the engineering team, planning, executing, delivering shipment visibility features into our external products, providing predictive location updates and communicating near real-time updates to our customers.

We have an established data science program that continues to power decision making and automation. We have an exceptional opportunity for a Software Engineering Manager (Machine Learning) who will:

• Help us build and manage data-intensive software products that are focused on delivering sophisticated tools for our business, customers, and carriers
• Manage a team of machine learning engineers, data engineers, and software engineers who partner closely with our data science team to take solutions from discovery to production with scalable and well-engineered solutions
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, data scientists, and engineers and support team members to bring big data R&D projects from discovery phases into production by leveraging the following technologies (not all inclusive and subject to change):
  • Python?

Your experience and expertise is critical for us to meet our customer demands. We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 8+ years of experience designing and driving implementation of large-scale software products that span multiple systems
• Has experience leading machine learning engineering teams and working closely with Product Managers and Data Scientists
• Enjoys following data-driven approaches to conducting experiments and iterating on features
• Passionate about identifying areas of improvement and driving best practices
• Comfortable communicating complex ideas effectively and understand tradeoffs in achieving product goals
• Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
