As an AssociateData Analyst you will leverage business and technical knowledge to develop new and innovative analytical solutions. In this role you will be accountable for building advanced tools that serve a research, development, or production purpose. Additionally, in this role you will use established best practices to verify insights from individuals, up to leadership level and may conduct exploratory work pertaining to upcoming and/or ongoing product development.

Responsibilities:

• Extract and interpret data to answer ambiguous questions while working directly with personnel across the Intermodal Service Line or network. This can include exploratory work, prototyping, visual development, data structuring, data validation and cleansing
• Proactively analyze topics, identify, and create recommendations supported by data and adapt analysis based on feedback
• Update and maintain standard library of visualization/reporting packages for current and future prototyping
• Using Agile processes, take in reviewed work through work management tools such as GitHub, Azure boards
• Determine reporting and additional analysis to support initiatives and metrics
• Clearly translate and communicate complex concepts into understandable, professional presentations
• Perform quality assurance testing of reports and dashboards, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as appropriate
• Consult, support, and inform leadership using data driven insights

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ year analytics experience developing business solutions using comprehensive, robust data assets
• Intermediate proficiency with SQL
• Proficient in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc
• Basic to Intermediate experience of a programming language such as Python and/or R
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven ability to think creatively to develop a data model or perspective to answer challenging business problems or scenarios
• Experience with Snowflake and T-SQL
• Knowledge of open-source management tools like Apache Airflow
• Experience leveraging statistical methodologies to deliver actionable insights (regression analysis, clustering and/or tree models)
• Basic knowledge of linux/bash
• Organized individual with strong project management disciplines, including the ability to lead, facilitate, and influence
