Job Description

Bell in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Data Scientist with proven experience in operationalizing machine learning models to join our IT Analytics/ Data Scientists team.

We are looking for critical thinkers, problem solvers, and motivated individuals who are enthusiastic about data and believe that answers to hard questions lie in the yet-to-be-told story of diverse, complicated data sets. As a Data Scientist you will help define the next generation of Data & Analytics solutions to be used by Bells employees, partners and customers. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating a strong technical competence and the ability to work within a team.

This role is located at Bell’s Commercial Business Center, located just south of the DFW airport.

Job Summary:

• Design, build and maintain sustainable data solutions and pipelines to derive impactful business insights
• Experience productionalizing machine learning models and has partnered with other data scientists/analysts in the corporation to implement Machine Learning solutions.
• Experience with build processes supporting data extraction, transformation, loading, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Work directly with Product Owners and customers to deliver data products in a collaborative and agile environment
• Mentor junior team members in areas of technical mastery (code, design principles, etc.)
• Develop sustainable data driven solutions with current new gen data technologies to meet the needs of our organization and business
• Ability to grasp new technologies rapidly as needed to progress varied initiatives
• Break down data issues and resolve them
• Build robust systems with an eye on the long-term maintenance and support of the application
• Use reusable code modules to tackle problems across the team and organization
• Utilize a working knowledge of multiple development languages
• Drive cross team design and development via technical leadership and mentoring
• Understand complex multi-tier, multi-platform systems

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems - or similar discipline 

Position Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience operationalizing machine learning models
• Use of data science methodologies, including developing pipelines and dimensionalizing data
• At least 3 years of experience in SQL, Python, R, C#, or other scripting language
• At least 2 years of experience in querying and analyzing and working with data languages and platforms
• At least 2 years of experience working with Agile development methodologies
• Strong collaboration with the Information Owners, Data Stewards and Business Analysts to roll out data science capabilities and support data governance initiatives
• Adheres to the various Bell PMO guidelines and drives toward achieving required project milestones
