Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for the design, development and integration of new audio technologies (with a focus on ML/DL applications) within Harman's AudioworX audio processing tool suite based on the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

• Concept/architecture design of new audio technologies
• Design, development, implementation and optimization of audio algorithms and software for automotive audio products, e.g. in the fields of machine learning and deep learning or 3D audio
• Creation and presentation of algorithm prototypes/proof of concepts
• Technology ownership of AudioworX technologies
• Algorithm development in consideration of both audio performance and footprint for later effective implementation on any amplifier or head unit platform
• Task definition, design and code reviews, testing, and documentation of code functionality

What You Need:

• Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Media Technology or equivalent
• Experience in R&D in the fields of digital (audio) signal processing and/or machine learning/deep learning
• Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
• Proficiency with Python and basic libraries for numerical operations and machine learning such as NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn and pandas
• Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras
• Experience deploying ML/DL models on embedded devices
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions for audio applications (content analysis, classification and enhancement applications)
• Experience in visualizing and manipulating big datasets
• Experience developing or working with ML pipelines
• Experience in professional SW engineering / agile SW development
• Knowledge in acoustics, psychoacoustics, acoustical benchmarking, sound quality, sound field measurement and equalization, and related fields
• Profound experience in MATLAB programming
• At least 3+ years of experience in implementation and optimization of C/C++ SW with exposure to embedded systems
• Very good command of English language, written and oral
