Job Description

• Able to understand and develop descriptive, predictive & optimization models
• Understand problem statement, formulate systematic approach by using Analytics’ tools, and develop solution. Enabling sophisticated modeling and algorithm across a broad spectrum of problems/opportunities to accelerate technology solutions and decision making.
• Liaise with other parties to gather and process raw data by identifying data set / model / format.
• Define required data structure and data storage strategy. Collaborate with data architect to identify new data sources and integrations.
• Design, develop and implement data analysis and statistical modeling solutions that can efficiently analyze large data and build predictive models to support decision making using off the shelf tools (e.g SAS, R) with programming language (e.g. Python, .NET, C/C++) and able to link the communication protocols with automation systems for action

Qualifications

• Degree/Masters in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science related field
• Experience with large data sets and knowledge of both structured and unstructured data
• Have knowledge of machine learning, data mining and statistical analyses with any statistical/data mining tools e.g. SAS, SPSS, R & python. Should be familiar with SQL.
• Experience in building models utilizing various analytical techniques, data science, modeling, and analytics
• Proven track record of solving challenging problems by applying machine learning / data mining algorithms.
• Expert in analytical thinking with business acumen mindset.
• Passion for data science and innovation and capable to communicate analytical findings
• Preferable to have experience in Manufacturing and Warehouse at Electronic Industry
