Job Description

• Fiverr's Data team is seeking a Director of Data Developer to join us.
• As a Director of Data Developers, you will build and manage Fiverr's data warehouse, our main analytical platform.
• You will recruit and lead a team of data professionals responsible for data modeling, data management processes, ETLs, and data sources.
• The right person for this role is passionate about data and building optimized solutions for scalability, efficiency, quality, and uptime.

• Our work model is hybrid, combining remote and on-site work. This allows us to get things done when and where we are most productive.

What am I going to do?

• Build, lead and mentor a team of data developers
• Provide strategic and professional leadership on data modeling and development
• Work with partners from analytics and engineering teams to build best in class data platform solution
• Design and write data flows using expert-level SQL development
• Play a key role in developing and deploying innovative Fiverr data platform for advanced analytics and data processing
• Design best practices to level up the quality of the code of the team
• Investigate and POCs of new technologies into the tech stack of the team
• A solid understanding of design principles, particularly as they relate to data modeling, API development.
• An “innovative problem-solving” and “can-do” attitude, with a passion for emerging technologies.
• Design and build data pipelines that enable faster, more accurate, data-driven decision-making within the organization following best practices.

What are the qualifications?

• 6+ years of experience working as a BI Developer or a similar role
• 2+ years of experience in leading a team of developers
• Expert proficiency and deep understanding of SQL
• Experience with messy data and with establishing tools and data governance that helps analytics to scale
• Experience in data modeling, business logic processes, as well as experience with DWH design
• Experience with production environments/data platforms serving production.
• Experience with at least one BI tool such as PowerBI, Tableau, looker, etc.
• An enthusiastic, fast-learning, team-player, motivated individual who loves data.
• Multitasking skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Google BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift
• Experience with large-scale, production-grade projects
• Experience with Python or any other programming language
• Bachelor's/Master preferred degree in Engineering, Math, or other numerate/analytical degree equivalent or army unit equivalent
