Job Description

We are looking for someone with a related major and interest in data science, analytics, or finance. This internship position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to gain exposure to the forecasting and demand planning process of a growth organization. As part of the data science team, this intern will partner closely with leaders in our Finance, Content, Growth and Retention teams.

• The successful candidate will help to model and analyze data to support decision-making to optimize investments, as well as translate results into impactful data stories for executive presentations.
• Technically, they will get to participate in the development of econometric models and other statistical analyses.
• The intern will work at least 40 hours per week during the 10-week summer semester.
• The work schedule will be determined by the manager and may include outside normal duty hours and weekends.
• The intern is considered an integral part of the Enterprise Data Organization and as such, their ideas and input will be valued

Requirements:

• Data science, finance, economics, computer science (or similar) majors with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze data, decipher trends, and develop and explain the story behind the numbers
• Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, SQL and Python is a must.
• Experience in BigQuery is a plus
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, very collaborative and environment
• Must possess a keen analytical mindset and high capability to plan, organize and prioritize work - balancing resources, skills, and priorities to achieve success.

• Excellent communication skills
