Commercial and Products Counsel
Location: Office Location or Remote – USA

Compensation Range: $122,000 – $163,000

GHX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial and Products Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring over five years of in-house legal experience, particularly in the healthcare SaaS technology space. This role requires strong legal acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support our business goals and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for a broad range of global commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer contracts.
• Develop, update, and manage contract templates and related processes; identify and implement legal and cross-functional improvements.
• Oversee and enforce the commercial legal contracting process to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure legal compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Deliver clear, actionable legal risk assessments and strategic guidance to support business and product decisions.
• Lead legal oversight of the commercial go-to-market process in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Manage and develop the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Develop and execute legal strategies that support innovation and business growth.
• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and industry standards.
• Handle and resolve legal disputes and claims, in coordination with external counsel when necessary.
• Stay current on legal and regulatory developments to proactively identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Provide legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders, including product, sales, and compliance teams.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an in-house commercial counsel, preferably in the healthcare SaaS sector.
• Deep understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience managing go-to-market legal processes and intellectual property assets.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Business-minded approach to legal analysis with strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing large-scale legal software solutions (e.g., contract lifecycle management systems).
• Familiarity with integrating AI tools in legal operations.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and data privacy regulations is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $122,000 – $163,000, based on qualifications, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, GHX offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
