As a Continuous Improvement and Project Management Manager, you will report directly to the Logistics Operations and Continuous Improvement Project Office Manager. You will be responsible for optimizing global logistics operations. In this regard, the incumbent will have the opportunity to work on strategic projects related to the improvement of logistics infrastructure and the optimization of distribution logistics (internal and external).

You will handle complex operational data and scenarios for analysis, presentation and optimization, and also optimize the operations of logistics support groups such as material packaging engineering, warehousing, inventory control, inspection of purchased parts and customs logistics.

Additionally, the Continuous Improvement and Project Management Manager will be responsible for identifying and implementing initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement while challenging the status quo and established standards and will be the primary point of contact for the entire organization.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours in Longueuil , and is exclusively on-site.

What will your daily life look like?

  • Monitor the progress and recognition of individuals and organizations within the CORE program
  • Lead, coordinate and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations
  • Collect needs and technical data
  • Conduct impact and cost-benefit analyses
  • Write project charters and identify improvement opportunities
  • Define the parameters to be studied, collect them and measure them
  • Establish KPIs and relevant data
  • Prepare, execute and verbalize complex analysis files
  • Participate in defining deliverables for each project (schedule, risk, communication, etc.) in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Coordinate the definition of IT development requirements
  • Implement action plans and coordinate the tasks of internal and external contributors
  • Assume the execution of certain tasks of the action plan as an individual contributor
  • Contribute to cost optimization and waste reduction, in order to achieve objectives within defined time and budget conditions
  • Lead the various project committees and produce the action plans and associated reports
  • Develop, maintain and communicate project progress metrics

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, operations management, logistics, data science, business intelligence and/or supply chain management
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant field with tangible deliverables
  • Strong analytical skills with a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Sense of initiative and decision-making
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexible to change priorities based on customer needs
  • Ability to work effectively with different departments
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and customer focus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Power BI software
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP software (asset)
  • Knowledge of the Python programming language (asset)
  • Continuous improvement certification such as Green Belt (asset)

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may come from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with clients, suppliers or international colleagues.
