Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis, proficiency in programming languages, and a passion for AI technologies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute IT assignments of moderate complexity under the guidance of a senior mentor to develop a comprehensive skillset.
• Escalate questions and issues to management as needed.
• Participate in group discussions with internal teams or external partners to solve moderately complex problems.
• Attend meetings to gain process knowledge and project-specific guidance.
• Read, understand, and complete assignments according to provided guidelines.
• Approach challenges with critical thinking and a customer-centric mindset to create effective solutions.
• Prepare standard reports, documentation, and presentation materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Visualization: Analyze and manipulate datasets using Python, SQL, and R; create insightful visualizations to inform business decisions.
• AI Integration: Support the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions across various projects.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand client needs, formulate strategies, and communicate findings clearly.
• Research: Conduct research on AI applications and monitor relevant legislation to support AI adoption for clients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems).
• Completion of at least two years of coursework.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service abilities.
• Basic understanding and application of key technical principles, theories, and concepts.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, R, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous internships or work experience in technical or engineering roles.
• Experience in data visualization and presenting technical findings to clients or stakeholders.

Pay Transparency:
Maximus compensation is determined by various factors, including job location, education, experience, performance expectations, travel requirements, market factors, and internal equity. Annual salary is one part of the total compensation package, which may also include short- and long-term incentives and program-specific awards. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off. Compensation will comply with all minimum wage and salary threshold regulations.

• Minimum Salary: $25.00/hour
• Maximum Salary: $35.00/hour
