Job Description

The Role

The Data Analyst Intern contributes to GeoComply’s success by developing business-critical scripts and providing them with intel regarding their users based on information and data gathered through the data observed by GeoComply iOS SDK. This position reports to the Senior Data Analyst on a day-to-day basis.

You are able to work with multiple teams across locations and enjoy it. You have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles and a great passion for working in agile development process environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize existing scripts/tools to acquire data from different sources and produce ad-hoc reports/scripts
• Perform script review
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand the requirements and derive key metrics.
• Ensure that the scripts are up to standard in terms of both data quality and presentation.
• Contribute ideas towards team development.
• Apply team process in all tasks.
• Develop and thoroughly understand the company’s technologies, processes, and teams.

Who You Are

• Recently graduated or in pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.
• Proficiency in data processing using a programming language is considered an asset.
• Efficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheet (using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
• Demonstrated skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in small collaborative teams in a dynamic working environment.
• English language skills: fluent in reading and writing, comfortable with listening and speaking.
• Collaborative and client-centric mindset.
