Job Description

We are looking for candidates with a background in artificial intelligence and software engineering for a full-time position at Peraton Labs. Candidates will work in concert with the team to research, conceive, and develop solutions through innovative approaches to solving problems.

The AI Research Scientist will be expected to:

• Work under the direction of project managers to design, train and evaluate machine learning models in support of analytic efforts.
• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models, incorporating feedback from linguists and subject matter experts.
• Explore, sanitize, and curate datasets in support of model training.
• Collaborate with linguists to identify and evaluate potential dataset sources.
• Assist software engineers
• Participate in progress briefings and technical exchange meetings; present developments to industry stakeholders.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience You Should Possess:

• At least 1 year with BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA, 0 years with PhD
• Experience in one or more of the following: natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and/or generative models (GenAI).
• Demonstrated software development ability in Python.
• Familiarity with DBMS including PostgreSQL.
• Experience with source control tools including Git.
• US Citizen
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to qualify for a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Details

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
