Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Advanced Analytics Specialist to join our dynamic database marketing team and help shape the future of our marketing strategies. This role is pivotal in driving targeted marketing initiatives, including direct marketing and client communication towards an omnichannel engagement approach.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and marketing strategy, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Analytics and Data Modeling:

  • Design and implement advanced analytics models that support marketing analytics, including customer segmentation, personalization, attribution modeling, and performance tracking.
  • Optimize analytical models and methodologies to enhance insights and data-driven decision-making.

Drive Change, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement:

  • Act as a transformational leader by fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the database marketing team, while proactively identifying and implementing innovative solutions to enhance analytics practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in analytics, big data technologies, and marketing analytics.

Data Analysis and Insights Generation:

  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive marketing performance
  • Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

Collaborative Leadership:

  • Partner with senior developers, data experts, and data analysts, providing guidance and mentorship to elevate the team's analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations and IT, to integrate analytics into business processes and to define data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data analysis and modeling results.

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in advanced analytics, data science, or a similar role, preferably within the marketing context.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake and Python/R for data analysis and modeling, familiarity with SQL and Oracle, and experience working with large datasets. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present complex data insights clearly and effectively.
  • Deep understanding of statistical concepts, control groups, and experimental design, and of predictive modeling techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience thriving in dynamic and constantly evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, resourcefulness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong aptitude for teamwork, with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and inspire others.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
