We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our North America Data Analytics team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, generate meaningful insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role requires a blend of technical skills, analytical thinking, and strong communication abilities.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Implement data analytics strategies, including the integration of Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Forms, to streamline business processes and internal controls while supporting compliance objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments to increase the use of data analytic tools, reducing manual processes and enhancing the reliability of decision-making and compliance activities.
- Collect, process, and analyze data using programming languages such as SQL, SAS, and Python.
- Create clear and informative data visualizations using Power BI.
- Develop advanced models for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Conduct data cleaning and preprocessing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Translate complex data findings into a compelling narrative for non-technical stakeholders.
- Present insights and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other analysts and business professionals to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in data analytics.
Your Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience of 7+ years as a Data Analyst.
- Strong experience with data visualization tool Power BI.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint and Forms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and SAS.
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and their applications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of database systems and experience with querying and managing databases.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well in teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Strong time management and adaptability skills.
- A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn and stay updated with industry trends.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in the insurance or banking industry
- Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
