Introducing Match Group AI Dev Team

The MG AI Dev Team works to innovate user experiences by applying AI technology to various services of Match Group. We develop various prototypes required for prior technology research, apply models of various domains including recommendation/generation models to production, solve engineering problems encountered while serving models through mobile devices and the cloud, and aim to contribute to the growth of services such as Tinder and Hinge through the technology we create.

Introducing ML Software Engineer

ML Software Engineer is a software engineer who is responsible for all engineering required to realize AI technology. They are responsible for everything from designing machine learning systems in collaboration with software engineers from various organizations to building sustainable R&D systems to accelerating the cycle of applying AI technology. To this end, they are not afraid to learn new domains, platforms, and technologies.

Duties

As an ML Software Engineer at Match Group AI, you will work with global teams at Tinder, Hinge, and more to work on new projects. From prototyping to verify whether a new AI technology (e.g., generative AI) can revolutionize the user experience in the dating domain, to engineering to deliver it to users, you will do everything necessary to make the project successful.

In the prototyping phase, we perform all development tasks necessary for hypothesis verification without limiting the technology stack, from backend APIs to iOS/Android mobile apps and web frontends. In the process of prototyping with a rapid iteration cycle, we suggest various ideas beyond the development area and lead problem solving.

After prototyping, we perform engineering work to deliver to global users. In this process, we design the system with consideration of performance perspectives so that it can operate stably on a global scale, and we are involved in the entire process of the software project from development, distribution, and operation to lead the project to success.

Required Qualifications

• Someone with more than 2 years of backend server or client (Web, iOS, Android) development experience
• Someone with a solid foundation in CS (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer architecture)
• Those who are proficient in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, and those who can learn and use other programming languages.
• Anyone with interest and basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning
• Someone who can communicate basic communication in English and fluent communication in Korean

Preferred Qualifications

• Someone who is fluent in English
• Anyone interested in the process of creating a new service from scratch that can provide an innovative experience to users
• Someone who can handle more than one technology stack (Backend, Web Frontend, iOS, Android)
• Someone who has experience working collaboratively with multiple organizations
• Those who have experience using public cloud services (AWS, GCP, MS Azure)
• Anyone with experience from training machine learning models to deploying services
