Job Description

The Business Automation leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automation within Nielsen’s Global Data Solutions division. You will develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the division, and lead the exploration and development of transformative technologies. This role provides a cohesive automation strategy and framework, from ideation to rapid prototyping of scalable solutions. This role is responsible for developing and managing the organization’s automation pipeline of projects, ensuring alignment to business priorities, transparency to execution and measurable and sustainable outcomes.

Building cross-functional relationships is key to success in this role, with core stakeholders spanning Revenue, Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales Analytics, and Finance. A successful leader will take a consultative approach with internal stakeholders, effectively navigate ambiguity, and translate complex, tactical needs into execution plans. Strong communication skills with both leadership and stakeholders are crucial for success in this role.

Exceptional partnership, clear articulation of business requirements, and deep understanding of both business functions and systems will be paramount for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Automation and Innovation:
  • Implement an automation incubation team focused on prototyping and proof of concept, and lead cross-functional teams to identify and leverage automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead the integration of advanced technologies such as generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics into operational processes.
  • Create project plans, identify business and technical dependencies, facilitate user acceptance testing, and communicate with stakeholders and POC to include business impact and outcomes to influence leadership and key stakeholders Build a data driven scorecard to measure automation performance and outcomes in the form of metrics and KPI dashboards/visualizations, providing visibility to the team's work delivery as well as business specific KPIs.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology management, innovation, or a related field Strong understanding of technology trends and their application in media research and related data industries.
  • 5-8 years experience with cloud platforms,e.g., Azure and AWS3-5 years experience with automation technologies such as:
  • Generative AI automations (Large Language Models, image analysis, voice transcription, language translation)Automated Decisioning Robotic Process AutomationNatural Language Processing / Machine LearningTest Automation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
