This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you’ll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. What It’s Like

The Data Science team supports the VAS product organization by leveraging AI and machine learning to deliver innovative solutions. We focus on crafting impactful models that improve customer experiences and drive business insights across different beneficial product groups. This is a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation, making it a great place to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do

As a Data Science / AI Intern, you’ll partner with experienced data scientists to work on diverse and impactful projects. These may include developing machine learning models for clustering and classification, applying LLMs to generate insights and improve user experiences, and building predictive analytics solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in these projects and many more, gaining hands-on experience in applying AI techniques to tackle real-world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist data scientists in building and evaluating machine learning models for different projects.

• Experiment with LLMs and other AI techniques to help tackle business problems and improve product features.

• Analyze data sets and help identify trends or patterns that can guide decision-making.

• Contribute to the development of AI-driven prototypes and tools that showcase the potential of new solutions.

• Share your insights and collaborate with the team to refine ideas and improve project outcomes.

What It Takes

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related fields.

• Familiarity with Python, machine learning basics, SQL, and a curiosity about learning about LLMs, Snowflake, and AI applications.

• Relevant coursework or certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, SQL, or Snowflake are a plus.

• Hands-on experience with data analysis, coursework involving machine learning, or familiarity with Snowflake for cloud-based data solutions.

Minimum Qualifications 

• At least 18 years of age

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

• Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

• Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

• Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
