We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support Finance Data Science & Analytics at Jacobs. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll drive sustainable, long-term growth for the enterprise by empowering smarter, profitable, real-time decisions.

You will join our Analytics team to enhance our thinking and behaviors on forecasting, tracking, and analytical insight, leveraging tools and setting the standard for advanced analytics, creating direct linkages to our overall strategy.

Our team’s goal is to help the organization use data to drive decisions and deep dive proactively on KPI’s by merging data analytics with financial insights to provide deeper analysis.

By collaborating and partnering with key leadership, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the Jacobs business and build key business relationships. You’ll help drive critical decision support to senior executives across the company including our Global Operations CFO. Your outstanding analytical skills and excellent communication skills will be key to your success in this role.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll:

  • Build, maintain and make enhancements to global dashboards that provide Finance leadership with the latest insights into performance.
  • Assist with the FP&A process for delivering data-driven insights that go beyond traditional FP&A, enabling predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Support analytical projects with strategic thinking to optimize our opportunities at a detailed level and to build return on spend profiles.
  • Prepare ad-hoc and decision support materials for senior leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Controllers to appropriately reflect business strategies in planning and forecasts, manage P&L lines and deep dive on results.

Here's what you'll need

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in finance, data analysis or related role
  • Hands-on experience managing/leading projects using large amounts of data
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with very high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with and influence people across all levels of the organization
  • A data-driven, outcome-focused mindset and work approach
  • Desire to work on ambiguous projects, with the ability to break down and execute on complex ideas
  • Exposure to Power BI, Python

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A passion for continuous improvement, optimization and process automation
  • Experience with visualization dashboard tools (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Exposure to SQL, Machine Learning Studio

The base salary range for this position is $78,800.00 to $123,050.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
