Build, apply, and manage hydrologic and hydraulic models of water distribution and/or collection systems. Improve traditional modeling workflows by applying advanced data analytics, machine learning and visualization tools. Support the development of junior staff and project delivery teams. Complete draft deliverables with minimal supervision. Coordinate and communicate with clients to define scope and present findings. Participate in sales pursuits, water market conferences, and professional organizations in order to build Jacobs industry recognition. Knowledge of and experience with optimization techniques and their application to water systems.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 60 months of work experience as a Water Resource Engineer or in a related occupation involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. As an alternative, employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 36 months of work experience as a Water Resource Engineer or in a related occupation involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Expertise/ knowledge of:
Water Collection system modeling experience with EPASWMM, PCSWMM, and XPSWMM. GIS software. Optimization techniques and their application to water systems (e.g. use of the Optimizer software). Data science, including data interpretation & visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI). Computing languages (e.g. Python, R). Prepare and/or review design calculations, hydraulic reports. Practical experience working on public utility asset management challenges & projects.
Must possess: Current Engineering in Training and ability to obtain Professional Engineer license within 1 year (any state).

The base salary range for this position is $105,207.00 to $182,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
