The Data Scientist Role

As a Data Scientist, your primary mission is to develop innovative machine learning models and analytics solutions that enhance our ability to delivery leading edge solutions to our customers. You will create advanced data models and tools that accelerate the adoption and migration of Qlik products, identify opportunities to drive sales through statistical modeling of the customer base, and enhance internal operational efficiencies. By applying advanced statistical techniques and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our customers can fully capitalize on the capabilities of Qlik software, ultimately leading to greater business value and success.

• Enhance Customer ROI: Develop and deploy advanced data models and AI-powered solutions that integrate seamlessly with Qlik software, enabling customers to maximize their investment and gain deeper insights from their data.
• Accelerate Product Adoption: Create data-driven tools and applications that streamline the adoption and migration of Qlik products, making it easier for customers to transition and utilize new features.
• Drive Operational Efficiency: Implement AI-driven processes and systems that improve internal operations, reducing manual workloads and increasing overall productivity.
• Innovate with Emerging Technologies: Leverage state-of-the-art AI models and frameworks to build innovative solutions that address customer needs and solve complex business problems.
• Identify Sales Opportunities: Use statistical modeling to analyze the customer base and identify opportunities to drive sales and revenue growth.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and other engineering teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the Qlik ecosystem.
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in AI, data science, and data management to ensure our solutions remain at the cutting edge of technology.
• Enhance Customer Experience: Ensure that the solutions you develop meet the needs of our customers, improving their overall experience with our products.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

The ideal candidate will have experience and technical proficiency in the following areas:

• Programming Languages:
  • Proficiency with Python and R, with hands-on experience in creating and deploying machine learning models.
• Database Skills:
  • Familiarity with SQL and working with both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational storage constructs (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Machine Learning Libraries and Frameworks:
  • Proficiency with ML libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Data Visualization:
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Qlik.
• Data Integration Tools:
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Qlik Replicate and Talend.
• Cloud Platforms:
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including services such as S3, EC2, and SageMaker. Experience with other cloud platforms like GCP and Azure is a plus.
• Advanced Statistics:
  • Advanced understanding of statistical methods and techniques for data analysis and model evaluation.
• Generative AI Models:
  • Familiarity with generative AI models and API integrations (e.g., OpenAI) is a plus. Must have a strong desire to learn and stay current with emerging technologies.
