Overview
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Frameworks team at Microsoft develops AI software that enables running AI models everywhere, from the world’s fastest AI supercomputers, to servers, desktops, mobile phones, IoT devices, and internet browsers. We collaborate with hardware teams and partners to build the software stacks for AI across Microsoft. We work directly with OpenAI on the models hosted on the Azure OpenAI service to maximize performance and efficiency. The team operates at the intersection of AI algorithmic innovation, purpose-built AI hardware, systems, and software. We are a cross-disciplinary team of highly capable and motivated people with a collaborative and inclusive culture.
We are looking for an accomplished Principal Product Manager - AI Frameworks to join our team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to build the software stack that enables the latest frontier models on the latest AI accelerator silicon hardware. A Principal Product Manager - AI Frameworks requires collaborating with engineers, researchers, finance, marketing, and business development to assess, prioritize, and execute on the most promising opportunities to deliver impact. We’re looking for someone who has a demonstrated history of creatively managing and solving hard technical problems and is passionate about building platforms that optimize performance and cost. An entrepreneurial approach and ability to take initiative and move fast are essential.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
