Job Description

As an AI Research Scientist, AI Security & Privacy, you’ll work on cutting-edge research to protect AI systems from threats while ensuring privacy and security. You will be responsible for contributing to business strategy and influence decision making based on information gained from deep dive analysis. You will produce actionable and compelling recommendations by interpreting insights from complex data sets. You will design processes to consolidate and examine unstructured data to generate actionable insights. You will also partner with business leaders, engineers and industry experts to construct predictive models, algorithms and probability engines.

You will:

• Develop and implement novel methods to protect discriminative and generative AI models and systems from threats such as data extraction and model inversion attacks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish security best practices for model deployment
• Integrate privacy-preserving techniques into AI model development while ensuring that ML models are built while safeguarding the privacy and security of data and data subjects
• Apply your expertise in deep learning to address security and privacy challenges
• Lead efforts to mitigate risks associated with data poisoning, prompt injection and other emerging threats and implement solutions that proactively enhance AI security and privacy in client and edge deployments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish guidelines for secure and privacy-aware model deployment and communicate effectively to drive adoption of best practices

Essential Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of related experience
• Strong AI/ML and security skills
• Python programming
• Solid applied research skills
• Documentation, communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / PhD is an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $167,000.
