Your Day to Day

• Empower the future of AI interaction: Enable the development of powerful multi-modal AI models for generative AI by developing interactive chat editors with multimedia support. This involves tackling challenges like integrating diverse data types (text, image, audio, video) and building seamless user experiences around them.
• Be a driving force in a high-impact team: Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to bring features to life, squash bugs, while consistently keeping tech debt in check.
• Crack the code: Tackle complex technical challenges that demand sharp problem-solving skills and a knack for navigating ambiguous territory.
• Be a customer champion: Partner with our support team to address customer questions and provide elegant solutions to their challenges.
• Own your code: Join our support rotation, ensuring our systems run smoothly around the clock.
• Drive impactful change: Take the initiative to propose and implement process improvements, elevating the efficiency and impact of our engineering team.
• Document your wisdom: Share your expertise by authoring and reviewing technical documents, guaranteeing the delivery of robust and well-defined solutions.

About You

• You possess 5+ years of full-stack engineering expertise, with a passion for crafting exceptional user experiences on the frontend and building scalable and reliable systems, ensuring a seamless user journey.
• Your proficiency extends to Typescript, Node.js, GraphQL, and you’re comfortable with Python, Kubernetes, and GCP (MySQL, Spanner, GCS, PubSub). You've honed your skills in leveraging these technologies over 3+ years to architect robust and efficient solutions.
• With 3+ years of experience in frontend frameworks such as React/Redux and Angular, you're adept at translating designs into responsive and interactive user interfaces.
• You embody an excellent ownership mentality, fearlessly pushing boundaries to elevate your team and Labelbox's offerings. Your commitment to customer satisfaction drives you to explore innovative solutions.
• You're a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and agile environment and take the initiative to get things done. You excel at devising elegant and streamlined solutions for complex challenges.
• You excel at writing high-quality code with a focus on test coverage and take a disciplined approach towards timely delivery of commitments.

Nice to Have

• Experience building interfaces for generative AI use cases such as LLM evaluation, metrics for evaluation, quality-control, monitoring, etc.
• Experience with NLP techniques.

Annual base salary range

$190,000 - $225,000 USD
