Methodology data scientists at BitSight are responsible for researching, prototyping, and implementing statistical quantification methodologies for modeling and analyzing risk, loss, and psychometric/survey data. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success and other teams. You will be responsible for creating and implementing well-designed, robust solutions to complex technical problems and for reviewing, scaling, and enhancing operationalized statistical models and algorithms. An interest in cyber security, risk quantification, and the modeling of complex, large, under-reported, and unbalanced data is desired.

Certification/Specialized Skills: Git, Python/R, SQL; software SDLC and package/library development; shell/bash/command line scripting; big data stack (Spark/Hadoop); applied machine learning; statistical analysis; data visualization and reporting tools; AWS; ability to manipulate, clean, and combine large, complex disparate data sources; ability to read, learn, and evangelize algorithms and statistical methodologies from peer-reviewed literature
