Job Description

Your key responsibilities as a Financial Lines Underwriter will be to:

• Conduct independent underwriting & negotiations which includes risk assessment and pricing of new business opportunities and renewals, as well as independently negotiating with brokers on price, conditions and more.
• Actively take part in Product Development within the Financial Lines product area to improve client retention and new business.
• Support the Manager for Financial Lines Denmark & Norway in implementation of portfolio actions.
• Ensure quality control within defined areas of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop best performers’ segments.
• Sales & Market related activities:
• Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients, and thereby increasing Chubb market visibility. This includes local & international meetings and social activities with brokers.
• Maximise cross selling in collaboration with our other lines of business.
• Independently handle requests and queries from brokers and / or clients under supervision of senior underwriters.

Your qualifications:

Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master´s degree in:

• Business Law and Business Administration, Law
• Economics
• Data Science or similar.
• Preferably but not a must, 0-3 years of experience within financial analysis / underwriting within financial products / Cyber risk or similar experience
• Experience of working in a multinational environment
• Demonstrated achievements, experience and skills in risk analysis within the financial sector
• Excellent communication and commercial skills
• Experience in negotiating and attracting profitable business
• Danish and English on a professional level – written and spoken
• Self-driven and proactive with a Can-do attitude
• Proficient in MS Office tools and the ability to follow a steep learning curve for similar tools used in underwriting.
