Then, check this outstanding opportunity in our new Technology Hub in Mexico – CECM (Chubb Engineering Center Monterrey) as a Data Quality Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our data systems and ETL pipelines. They will have a strong background in SQL and testing methodologies, with bonus points for experience in Python and PySpark. This role requires someone who can collaborate effectively with the data engineering and data science teams to ensure data integrity and drive improvements in data quality.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and define testing strategies for data quality assurance.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate data pipelines and identify potential issues.
• Perform extensive data analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and gaps in data quality.
• Take ownership of data quality initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining data quality metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to remediate data quality issues and improve data integrity.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data quality processes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Contribute to the automation of data quality tests and processes using SQL scripts, Python, and PySpark.
• Collaborate with software developers in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in SQL and experience with complex SQL queries, data validation, and manipulation.
• Good knowledge of Python.
• Proficient in testing methodologies and experience with test planning, test execution, and defect management.
• Familiarity with data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
• Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their data services.
• Working knowledge of Databricks.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory
