Job Description

As Conviva is expanding, we are building a new product that gets us into a new marketing segment. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior software engineer to join our dynamic team to lead this new innovation. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cutting-edge orchestration systems to manage Conviva Platforms.

What Success Will Look Like: 

• Design and implement robust and scalable orchestration systems using industry-leading frameworks like Kubernetes, Airflow, Docker and more.
• Design and implement ETL pipelines using a variety of open source frameworks.
• Lead critical technical decision-making processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Take on a mentorship role by training and guiding team members.
• Tackle engineering challenges related to cost reduction, reliability, scalability and flexibility.
• Champion a positive culture within the team, encouraging code quality, driving initiatives, and ensuring flawless execution.

Who You Are & What You've Done: 

• Bachelor's degree or or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures and algorithms.
• 3+ years of experience in Java, Scala, and/or Python.
• 3+ years of experience of technical expertise in Spark and other big data technologies such as Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, BigQuery, etc.
• Strong desire to work in a rapidly growing company and make is a success.
• Experience in performance tuning, analysis over distributed systems.
• Experience building massively scalable data infrastructure using commercial and open-source tools.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion and enthusiasm for big data technologies as well as building cutting edge solutions.
• Good communication skills in English

Preferred:

• Experience working with remote teams.
• Experience with SaaS.
• Open source contributor.
• Spark on Kubernetes, Airflow or other workflow management tools
