Job Description

• Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CBRND Software Systems Engineer to join our team!

  What You'll Be Doing:

  • This position is for a Systems Engineer with both a software background and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Defense background. Successful candidates will be able to showcase specific examples of work they've done on CBRND software systems, and demonstrate a sufficient grasp of how CBRND information flows through mission systems to inform intelligent decision-making.

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must be a self-starter and proactive.
  • Must have sufficient experience with and be able to work well with a software development team and understand current software development best practices - to include DevSecOps, microservices, SAFe, and a strong handle on at least one software system modeling language (DoDAF, SysML or UML).
  • Must know how to quickly wireframe concepts, and be an extremely effective communicator both internal to their team, and external towards customer stakeholders and fellow contractors.
  • Must be familiar with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), and Gitlab.
  • Must be able to frequently (and quickly) produce systems engineering artifacts and briefings (expert-level PowerPoint skills are an absolute must - will ask for example briefings at interview).
  • Must have sufficient experience in briefing customers and other project stakeholders - and be very comfortable doing so.

  What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Former military experience with CBRND and mission planning systems is a huge plus.
  • Former software development experience (full SDLC)
  • A systems engineering understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

  Salary Range:

  $96,400.00 - $168,700.00
