Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

The person will focus on Lilly China infrastructure and cloud foundation related solutions delivery and operational support, on-premises data center operations. The person is a key member of China infrastructure team, co-operating with application team, global infrastructure teams, and external vendors to ensure the smooth operation and scalability. Moreover, Collaboration Services such as Teams, O365 is also in the scope. The position also manages the external resources to support day-to-day meeting room and digital room operations.

• Leads and delivers infra projects and services on time and within budget
• Assists the formulation and implementation of local IT strategy
• Understands Lilly infrastructure standards, procedures, processes and integrate with local business requirement
• Design and implement cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• In charge of local infrastructure and cloud incident response activities, reviews and monitors service problems, changes management processes, and escalation procedures
• Assists the design and implementation of China IDC service, virtualization platform, storage and backup environment, and manages related operations
• Vendor management for infrastructure related operation or project partner
• Represents China infra team in regular regional service review meetings and/governance forums
• Regularly reports the operation status and progress of plans and projects to affiliate IT and infrastructure leadership
• Lead and deliver projects and services in collaboration services space, including O365, Teams, collaboration sites, power automation technologies and modern meetings space as well, including video-conferencing, wireless projection, virtual meetings and live broadcasting technologies
• Integrate and deploy AI and large language model solutions on AWS, including but not limited to NLP, text generation, and language understanding.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferable in computer or engineering
• 7+ years of Infra support and system administrator related work experiences
• Strong technical domain (Windows, Linux, network, virtualization, cloud) knowledge and industry certification
• Technical knowledge and experience of supporting O365, MS Teams, collaboration sites
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate and influence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to senior leaders
• Ability to communicate in English (verbally and in writing) to regional teams
• Familiar with ITIL framework and ITSM system
• Hands-on experience implementing and deploying AI and large language model solutions, such as BERT, GPT, Dify or similar.
• Proficient in Python or other relevant programming languages for AI and data analysis.
