Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and systems to support our growing data needs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient data pipelines to process and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources.
• Architect and implement data warehouse solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor and coach junior members of the data engineering team, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement data governance policies and security measures to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance our data infrastructure and support evolving business needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processes, reduce latency, and improve overall efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a focus on building data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Extensive experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and dimensional modeling principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and services (e.g., S3, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize performance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive consensus on technical decisions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field
• Information Technology, Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Preferred

• Experience working with advertising platforms.
• Working experience with AWS cloud services
