The Category Media Strategist (Media Planner) will be a part of Category Media planning team, who leads Category/ Brand Media strategy development and deployment process to Market Commercial leader across markets. Category/ Brand Media strategy will be a broad strategic guidance, by which Market Commercial leader to be able to finalize annual and monthly media plan that can grow Brand.

Once the individual grows as our trusted internal expert on Digital Media, the individual will also lead the upskilling each Category’s capability on Media strategy, planning and executions.

This role will be based in Singapore.

Your Team

You will report to senior Category Media Director Haircare APAC. You will work extensively with colleagues from Marketing, Communications, and Media Operations across P&G offices in Asia Pacific.

  • Influence to grow Brand Fundamentals such as Awareness via Media.
  • Being part of team to hold accountable for health of Brand Fundamentals for Category Leadership.
  • Grow Media IQ among Category team.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Collaborate with senior Category Media Strategist to develop and propose Media strategy to Category Media sponsor and Market commercial leaders and design and execute Category Test & Learn programs while refining media strategy for growth.
  • Support to operate a drumbeat of media review with leadership, enabling Brand to keep growing Media-led Brand fundamentals.
  • Lead Digital media performance in-market performance tracking and optimization, closely partnering with Market Media operations, Category Analytics & Insight manager.
  • Lead the partnerships with digital ecosystem partners.
  • Be a trusted internal Media expert consultant for Brand Managers and Market Media Operations Teams.

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or Masters’ Degree with 3+ years of Work experience.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape and Strong analytical ability to develop data-driven and insight-based media strategies.
  • Have worked in Media, Agency or FMCG client side, especially International Companies. Experience in working on Social Media & YouTube Advertising campaigns.
  • Experience in Consumer Insights/Market Research or working with KOLs/ influencers is a plus.
  • Able to handle and analyze complex and large amounts of data leveraging excellent MS Excel skills and/or Python and various modeling approaches.
  • Curiosity and passion to learn and explore new media/advertising formats (ie. Social Commerce) and new tools to analyze data (eg. Gen AI).
  • Comfortable in operating in a complex, fast paced and agile structure with an ability to handle multiple priorities.
