This opening is for a Data Scientist to join a team which is focused on creating new analytical products using machine learning methods and information from various sources globally.
This Data Scientist will be immersed in Dun & Bradstreet proprietary data and will also actively explore and obtain new data from news, company websites, government/NGO sites, and other internet-based databases, which will be coupled with state-of-the-art ML algorithms and analytical platforms, and with practical business domain knowledge.
This resource MUST work onsite in our Jacksonville, FL Global Headquarters 3 days/week. 100% Remote is not Allowed
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting development of new data science capabilities within analytics products and platform.
- Working within analytical environment to create new analytical capabilities, automate jobs, design modeling frameworks while creating dashboards, visualizations for external customers.
- Work on projects adhering to deliverables in statement of work, maintaining timeline, and documenting progress.
- Communicate analytical results in terms that are meaningful to business managers and senior leadership internally and externally.
- Participate in all aspects of a modeling engagement, including design, development, validation, calibration, documentation, approval, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Applying machine learning unsupervised and supervised methods to develop new features based on structured and unstructured data, develop standard and custom analytical solutions and capabilities.
- Working with internal / external D&B clients and stakeholders to identify their business needs and develop, implement, and manage solutions by creating prototypes, business cases and go to market strategy.
- Working with technology team on implementation of new analytics capabilities in D&B production and platforms.
- Research complex business issues and recommend solutions, including model inputs, model design frameworks, and end products that drive innovation for the company.
- Initiating and proposing unique and promising modeling projects, developing new and innovative algorithms and technologies, pursuing patents where applicable.

Education and Competencies
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or other related fields with a strong quantitative specialization.
- 3 or more years of applicable experience.
- Proficiency in programming skills with the ability conduct research utilizing Python, PySpark, R or Scala and other tools to manipulate data and conduct statistical analysis.
- Strong SQL programming skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Strong technical writing skills.
