We are looking for an Associate to join our Technology Strategy & Analytics team focusing on driving infrastructure-aware product innovation decision making. You will partner with leaders and senior engineers across our Consumer Engineering organization, which operates hundreds of microservices running on Amazon Web Services that power the “before you press play” Netflix experience (think: sign-up, authentication, billing, personalization, search, messaging, etc.).
You will be responsible for understanding our product innovation roadmap (incl. genAI-driven features) and how it will affect our infrastructure cost, and partnering with engineering leaders in an analytical and strategic capacity to develop key metrics and drive overall cloud efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, partner-focused, an effective communicator, and relentlessly curious. Ideal candidates have a proven track record of managing cross-functional working groups and hands-on analytics experience. We are a self-service, data-driven organization so previous experience with query languages such as SQL, a scripting language (e.g., Python), or a strong desire to learn these skills is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and be results-driven while upholding the highest personal and professional integrity and ethics.
In addition to intellectual curiosity and aptitude, we look for candidates who are excited by technology, either from a professional or personal background. Since we are deeply embedded with our business partners, having the ability to connect specific engineering initiatives to the broader Netflix business impact is critical to success.
This position is expected to operate at a senior level, leading cross-functional projects/teams composed of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists while collaborating with engineering leadership. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, Technology Strategy & Analytics, and is based out of our Los Gatos, CA office.
