Job Description

For the last 30 years we have been a leader in digital maps and today majority of the in-vehicle navigation devices use our maps. This gives us the credibility to be the technology leader also in the transportation revolution - from autonomous transportation systems to optimizing the global supply chains. All these require unprecedented capabilities to locate everything accurately, collect sensor data to the HERE Platform, process the data using Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence, and control these same systems based on real-time data analysis. We provide a platform, build services, and collect data to power the autonomous world.

In this role you will be:

• Leading the effort for developing and improving roadside surface composition map automation algorithms and models.
• Collaborating with other data scientists and engineers on various other product lines, including tree and pole detection, sign detection, and motorway junction abstractions.
• Working with a variety of stakeholders, and other teams making sure we're focusing on right topics.
• Collaborating with team members, coaching the rest of the team in machine learning expertise.
• Continuously looking for best practices, looking out for the next best thing.
• collaborate with external partners and other teams within HERE to ensure that our customers always get best of technology and services for their everyday use and to support their business.

Who are you?

We are now looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join our team with

• Minimum of 7.5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience developing and testing machine learning projects with a strong background in different learning algorithms and models.
• Good knowledge of computer vision, point clouds, and object detection.
• Knowledge and experience in machine learning and cloud-based distributed environments.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience in E2E software development lifecycle - from requirements gathering to deployments.
• Experience in deploying models on cloud platforms using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
