Job Description
Responsibilities:
Sales Engineering Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership to the sales engineering team, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives and revenue goals.
- Drive technical pre-sales initiatives, supporting the sales team in positioning our AI software solutions effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the sales, product management, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to customer engagement.
- Work with product management to relay customer feedback and technical requirements for product improvement.
Customer Engagement:
- Act as a technical advisor during the sales process, engaging with key stakeholders to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, instilling confidence in our technology and solutions.
Technical Expertise:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the AI, Cloud, and SaaS domains.
- Provide technical guidance to the sales team and customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of our product capabilities.
Team Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales engineering team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
Sales Enablement:
- Collaborate with the sales enablement function to develop training materials and resources for the sales team.
- Ensure the sales team is equipped with the technical knowledge and tools needed for successful customer interactions.
Client Presentations and Communication:
- Conduct technical presentations to clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our AI software solutions.
- Serve as a technical spokesperson at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within sales engineering, preferably as a Director or above.
- Background in AI, Cloud, and SaaS technologies.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Location and Compensation: This role is based in Palo Alto, California. Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. The range for the base salary is $175,000-$240,000.
