Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Software Engineer to join our team at Plus, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of software to advance our self-driving technology. The role will primarily involve working on behavior planning and motion planning modules to support the safe and efficient operation of our autonomous vehicles. Key responsibilities include utilizing modern planning algorithms, conducting diagnostics and tuning at component and system levels, and integrating, testing, and fine-tuning software modules and robotic components. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to review designs and software changes will also be a crucial aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy software to support Plus' self-driving technology, focusing primarily on our behavior planning and motion planning modules.
• Use modern planning algorithms (sampling / optimization / ML-based) to generate safe, dynamically feasible trajectories for Plus autonomous vehicles to follow.
• Perform component and system level diagnostics and tuning, and integrate, test, and tune software modules and robotic components.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to review new designs and software changes, working with adjacent teams including Systems Engineering, Perception and Controls.

Required Skills

• MS or PhD in relevant engineering field
• Experience developing production code in C++, with python experience as an added advantage
• Applied robotics experience in any of the following areas: Robotics, Motion Planning, Machine Learning
• Ability to deliver complex software features, from design to implementation to testing
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
