In your role as (Senior/Junior) Data Compliance Counsel AI & non-personal data (m/f/divers), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliance with the EU`s regulatory framework for artificial intelligence and other non-personal data related data regulations globally and contribute to the responsible and ethical use of AI technologies. Furthermore, you will be the central contact person for all issues relating to compliance with non-personal data regulations within the Data Compliance Corporate department. You are staying updated on evolving regulations and providing guidance on ethical and legal AI and non-privacy data practices, minimizing legal and reputational risks for Continental.

In detail, you can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Advising specialists of departments and subsidiaries on compliance with AI laws and other non-privacy data regulations.
  • Supporting and coordinating the implementation of the EU AI Act within Continental, providing legal guidance to all relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like law, IT and HR, compliance colleagues as well as business using and developing AI solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between several departments of the second line of defence within the Intergrity & Law area.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess and mitigate legal risks associated with data use and management.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements, and policies related to non-personal data compliance and promote a culture of ethical AI usage.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on non-personal data compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of AI and other data regulations and identify areas for compliance improvement.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure ethical, legal and responsible use of data used for AI and non-privacy data on a Group level.

Your profile

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in law or fully qualified lawyer with extensive experience in technology law, with focus on artificial intelligence and regulatory compliance or comparable qualification, additional qualification in data protection desirable
  • In-depth knowlwdge of the upcoming EU AI Act and other data related EU regulations and its implications for business.
  • Knowledge in the area of information law desirable
  • Experience in international data protection projects desirable or comparable experience abroad
  • Business fluent English language skills;
  • Strong communication skills, strategic mindset as well as proactive, structured and independent way of working
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • High level of commitment, confident appearance and strong team skills
  • Willingness to travel
