Job Description

About the role - you will:

• Perform proactive components/material outgassing/extraction analysis and support drive failure analysis in terms of organic contamination related area. Investigates, develops, and improvises organic methods and techniques to resolve organic issues.
• Develops solutions to technical problems through the application of materials science and engineering principles, theories, and concepts. Investigates and tests drives/components level for organic issues.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. This job is a fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
• Run Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) – Auto Thermal Desorption (ATD) involving daily machine tuning, weekly calibration, worldwide correlation, troubleshooting, and analysis using machine learning macro. Perform drives/components outgassing/chemical extraction and data analysis to provide technical advice in organic contamination related area. Applying AI or relevant automation expertise to streamline the process of automating organic analysis.

Your experience includes:

• Job requires at least a degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Applied Sciences especially Chemistry, Material Science or Engineering field. Preferable with relevant Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) experience (i.e., operation, troubleshooting & analysis).
• Experience in Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrometer (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) / Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis will be an advantage.
