During this internship, the Commercial Data and Analytics Intern is responsible for insights generation by integrating multitude of secondary data sources and engaging several Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) colleagues to develop a comprehensive understanding of brand performance and provide tactical recommendations to drive it.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design approach and perform secondary data analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead analytical execution by implementing solutions, ensuring progress per timelines and scope, and coordinating readout of results
  • Work cross-functionally to synthesize findings, develop recommendations and articulate actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Provide senior leadership and brand teams with an objective and rigorous perspective on secondary data analytics and performance management
  • Strategic and operational support for the SPO Senior Manager and VP of CD&A

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree Concentration(s): Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering (with a focus on quantitative analysis), or a similar field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present information
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated, resourceful, and a willingness to learn
  • Goal oriented and results driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
  • Basic to intermediate skills using Microsoft Excel, programming languages, or similar program(s) for modeling is a plus
  • Previous biopharmaceutical or industry experience/internship is not required but is a plus

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour.
