Job Description

  Responsibilities;

  • Architect and implement robust, scalable data solutions using AWS services like Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon EMR.
  • Lead the development and optimization of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing in the AWS cloud environment.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand data needs and deliver solutions that drive business value.
  • Ensure high standards of data security, governance, and compliance, particularly in alignment with AWS best practices and industry standards.
  • Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and cost efficiency, utilizing AWS management tools and services.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and features in AWS, continuously enhancing our data capabilities and solutions.
  • Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new tools and technologies in the field of data engineering and cloud computing.

  Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, with extensive experience in AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in designing and operating large-scale data architectures, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data processing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services and understanding of AWS architecture and security best practices.
  • Expertise in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing technical teams.
  • Preferred Skills: AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data.
  • Experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI technologies.
  • A track record of innovation and creative problem-solving in data engineering
