Get to Know The Opportunities:

This technical role oversees data engineering solutioning, delivery and execution of business prioritized IT projects and it will be primarily responsible for providing guidance, structure, technical and delivery expertise to project teams. These will be data focused projects of significant size and complexity which may be delivered through a collection of internal and external teams. This is a technical position that will drive analysis, design, technical solutioning, testing or operational specifications developed by project team to ensure the final work product meets all quality standards and aligns with business goals. It will work with technology, operations and business partners for project planning, execution, technical direction, implementation, readiness, and communications of large-scale data projects.

The ContributionsYou'll Make:

  • Drive technical analysis, design, testing or operational specifications developed by project team.
  • Ensure the final work product meets all quality standards and aligns with business goals.
  • Perform as a technical consultant and lead individual contributor.
  • Coordinate work across multiple work teams; develop, update, and implement contingencies for multiple teams to meet changing project or service needs.
  • Partner closely with IT management to align resource capacity and demand requirements.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Effectively manage relationships and delivery with external vendor partners. Identify and remove roadblocks, escalate issues through proper management channels when resource deliverables are not in alignment with expectations or contract. Ability to drive team efficiencies effective partnerships.
  • Balance competing requirements and interests, keeping team focused on top priorities, and finding ways to achieve win-win outcomes by encouraging new ways at looking at problems, processes and solutions
  • Understand, apply, promote, and contribute to Voya delivery methodologies, standards, and tools.
  • Naturally lead and command authority, influence and inspire without control
  • Hold self and project team accountable for valued business outcomes
  • Facilitate lessons learned and knowledge retention for future use

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience working with limited supervision and guidance and applying advanced technology project leadership and systems skills, tools, and techniques to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Diverse experience in the data domain including such technology as analytics, MDM, cloud, ML, AI, and integration.
  • Previous experience as a Java developer who has worked to make data readily available to frontend systems
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT with a deep understanding of data analytics applications.
  • Experience developing technical solutions and driving implementation
  • Experience directing technical efforts by providing direction and technical solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a directly related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in project execution with involvement in multiple major projects or a sustained record of success as an IT services provider.
  • Agile and SDLC experience
  • Effectively utilize current project planning, reporting, and support tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$127,160 - $178,320 USD
