At SoundHound, we are revolutionizing the food industry with our innovative Voice AI technology, enabling rapid and natural food ordering. We're seeking an experienced individual to join our engineering team, focused on enterprise and drive-thru systems. You will ensure our Voice AI technology can work seamlessly with the endless combinations of solutions in the restaurant space.

We will look to you to leverage your experience and creativity to contribute to the underlying technology, the feature set of the drive-thru ordering product, and conceptualization of how this novel approach can improve adoption of VoiceAI.

The work location for this role is limited to the United States. The workplace options for this role include in our Santa Clara office, hybrid, or remote models.. The salary range for this position is $155,000.00 and $200,000.00. Our recruiting team will provide a more specific salary range based on work location and years of experience. In this role, you will:

• Work on our best-in-class restaurant ordering product, featuring SoundHound’s unique real-time NLU technology called dynamic interaction, plus LLM approaches to natural language understanding.
• We own our own tech stack covering all of ASR and NLU, you will learn about these technologies and be hands-on with these components.
• Your work will be shipped to large very well known brand customers and used by millions at drive-thrus.

We would love to hear from you if:

• You are highly fluent in one or both of C++ and Python
• You have experience with or interest in NLP technology, such as ASR, FSG approaches, or LLM applications experience such as model tuning or prompt engineering.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, and 8 years of relevant industry experience
• Ability to work on hard open-ended challenges, and improve existing solutions
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment
