Purpose

As an Organizational Scientist, you partner with Data Scientists, and Insights Partners to perform applied research and uncover data insights to better understand, attract, hire, engage and retain the people that make Roche a great company and employer.

As an ideal candidate, you are able to enhance People Insights with research methods and scientific evidence, leveraging experimental designs, and various measurement techniques to enable evidence-based decision making and its strategic applications in practical business settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field experiment and empirical research on strategic people and organizational topics

• Design surveys with validated item scales to measure critical aspects of the employee experience and inform high impact people decisions

• Serve as a subject matter expert on psychometrics, research methodology, and organizational science across Roche

• Ensure that data science models are informed by relevant scientific research

• Translate relevant scientific evidence into practical applications for stakeholders

• Advocate for evidence-based management

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

• PhD in a field focusing on people research in organizations (e.g., I/O Psychology, HR Management, Organizational Behavior)

• Demonstrated experience conducting scientific research in applied settings and/or people analytics

• Broad knowledge about scientific evidence regarding People & Culture related topics

• Ability to apply scientific research towards practical applications in a business context

• Ability to communicate scientific findings to stakeholders so they are easily understood

• Experience applying survey methodology in a practical business context, balancing the needs for both scientific rigor and pragmatism

• Experience working with human-centered data, such as demographics, psychographics, and behavior

• Experience in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python)
