Tasks

Objective of job

IT Product Engineering team is responsible for BMBS business related product management, program management and engineering enablement.

You are responsible for design and development of technology architecture, solution and roadmap for Retail, Sales, Aftersales automotive IT business, you understand business requirements and build robust, reliable and scalable solutions.

Enterprise architecture duties

• Designs and delivers secure, reliable, and scalable IT solutions
• Serves as technical lead for design and delivery of technical solutions for cross functional teams
• Define requirements for microservices, cloud platforms
• Provides technical guidance, code review, feedback and assistance with debugging complex problems
• Guide the engineering team in potential capabilities to align with requirements needed for multiple initiatives
• Plans, designs and maintains the enterprise architecture which is aligned with business mission and strategy
• Works with business analyst, project managers and technical members to refine requirements and convert them into architectural blueprint with reliable, secure and scalable technical solutions
• Evaluates technologies, best practices and patterns to design solutions
• Resolves technical issues and perform root cause analysis
• Monitors all events that occur in the enterprise IT environment to allow normal operations and to detect and escalate exception conditions
• Aligns IT strategy and planning with the organization's business goal
• Devises business improvement opportunities and creates proposal for modification to existing software
• Manages stakeholder engagement in the development of new processes and systems and verifies feasibility
• Communicates system architecture to technical and business audiences
• Acts as design authority and provides an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing standards, policies and strategies
• Proposes changes in process, policy and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles
• Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows
• Conducts postimplementation reviews to evaluate benefits accrued from new processes and systems
• Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems
• Coorperate with EA for ITS/C landscape design and maintainance
• Analyze technical trends for ITS/C landscape design and maintainance
• Communicate with global related stakeholder for ITS/C landscape design and maintainance
• Analyse business capabilities as ITS/C landscape input

Technical leadership

• Give principle for technical solutions and IT system design
• Review and governance for IT system solution design
• Lead ITS/C technical topic for implementation

Qualification

Education

• Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.

Experience

• Automotive IT working background, familiar with Retail, Sales, Aftersales business and IT system/applications
• More than 8 year work experience in IT area, with 3 year software engineering experience and more than 5 years architect role

Professional Skills

• Experience in architecture design, enterprise architecture management
• Knowledge of business processes and core enterprise applications and management
• Good knowledge of Software and Business process modelling techniques and tools
• Business models, Budget Management and Risk Management
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing and experience in modern cloudbased platform architectures
• Proficient in Software engineering principles, Software Development Lifecycle and Requirement Analysis
• Good knowledge of automation in quality assurance, integration, and deployment
• Knowledge of DevOps
• Knowledge of Serviceoriented architecture, API design, RESTful web services and microservices
• Distributed Architecture, IoT Architecture
• Good understanding of IT security and data security
• Proficient in agile methodology and principles
• IT project management
• Fluent in programming languages like Java, Python, NodeJS
• Enterprise architecture certification as plus, e.g. TOGAF
• Basic knowledge of new technologies like Machine Learning, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Blockchain etc
