The position

Our summer internship is a 12-week programme designed to provide the experience and skills you need in your studies and future career. Our US internship will begin on 28 May and ends on 16 August 2024.

We are looking for a summer intern Subsurface Data & Digital to join our US Subsurface Data & Digital team in Houston which supports the US based assets within the Exploration and Production International organization.

The internship will be an opportunity to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the data science pipeline. Work with well log data, production data and seismic data. 
• Looking for an individual to bring new ideas and implement changes within the data flow of the subsurface systems. 
• We are looking for summer interns who are collaborators, eager to learn and have an analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail.

• Currently studying for Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or Ph.D. with a strong academic record within Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Data Science or Computer Science

  • Fluent in English and preferably a second working language.

  • No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience.

  • Have completed at least two years of bachelor education before the internship programme starts (28 May 2024).

  • Candidates must live in a state where Equinor currently operates.

  • Candidates must have the necessary work permit for the country in which they are applying for a position. The work permits must be valid at the point of application and for the duration of the employment.   • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work are an advantage.
