Job Description:

As a hybrid-remote Principal Data Scientist at CoreLogic you’ll join a multi-disciplined team of scientists and experts in deep learning, machine learning, and geospatial analytics. The ability to learn and create unique, market changing solutions is abundant. Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify problems, anticipate effects across business communities, research best practice alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus from a broad business community, and implement customized solutions.
  • Conduct complex statistical analyses and complete studies of real estate and mortgage related data.
  • Apply machine learning and data mining techniques to discover patterns from complex residential property data.
  • Make forecasts and predictions based on modeling and analysis of multiple economic and human factors.
  • Prepare and maintain programs and documentation for asset and asset risk models.
  • Performs modeling and analysis using various data mining, machine learning, statistical, and mathematical techniques.
  • Drive the monitoring and re-engineering current models and their prototypes as needed, to improve and enhance core models and group research objectives.
  • Conceive, lead and manage quantitative and qualitative research projects independently.
  • Assess and communicate research results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand business requirements and conceptualize analytic solutions to those business problems.
  • Regularly leads cross functional teams to research, define, and implement analytic solutions within a broad business function.
  • Troubleshoot, guide others, and drive solutions on a wide variety of highly complex problems.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales analytic support for partners, prospects, and clients. Analyze the present model performance for partners, clients and prospects.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Physics or related field.
  • At least 8 years of industry or academic experience in machine learning techniques, data mining, statistical modeling and/or pattern recognition model building for clients on real world problems.
  • Experience building models in a cloud environment.
