The Role:

Are looking for an excellent opportunity to join a team of innovative engineers while also developing your skills and fostering your technology career? If yes, we have a Manager, Data and Machine Learning Engineering opportunity just for you!

In this role, you will lead development and operations for one of our Enterprise Data Technology teams, provide technical guidance for data solutions to support Data Science and ML initiatives, mentor and guide your team to empowered delivery and growth, and to contribute to our ongoing evolution to a Data Driven Culture.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain an enterprise data ecosystem including ingestion, storage, organization, and interface.
• Analyze the business and technical requirements for data systems and applications; Scope, estimate, and schedule project work; Coordinate the integration of IT policies, procedures and development practices.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Research emerging ML technology, applications, and integration frameworks to continuously improve the ML engineering practices.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering and leadership experience implementing data and ML solutions such as ETL, ELT, Data lake, ML feature engineering, etc.
• 5+ years of experience using SDLC and Agile.
• 1-3 years of experience with AWS services such as S3, Sagemaker, Redshift and EMR.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience with data movement (EMR, Glue, etc.)
• 5+ years of validated experience in programming languages – Python, Java, Scala, C#.
• 1-3 years of DevOps experience with Git, build, artifact/package management, and deploy automation.
• Able to work in a multi-functional team environment including varied business units, vendors, countries, and cultures.

Desired Experience:

• Able to develop business, technical, and application architecture.
• Architecture – Event Driven Design, APIs, Micro services, stateless/chaos.
• Experience with financial product datasets.
• Familiarity with data discovery, analytics, and BI tools such as Tableau.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in SQL, relational databases and data modeling.
• AWS Certification
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting production cloud services in AWS ecosystem including EC2, EMR, Sagemaker

For NY based candidates, the salary range for this role is $155K - $175K. Offer amounts within the range are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

Working Conditions: Hybrid work environment - Kansas City, MO, Dallas/Ft Worth (Southlake) and New York.
